New Year's Eve drinks for 10 people (jug recipes)

Every drink here is a jug recipe, and each jug serves 4. So for 10 people, one round means two and a half jugs. Make three and you have 12 glasses, with two to spare. If everyone will have two drinks, that is 20 glasses, or five jugs. Do not try to fit it all in one jug. Mix each batch separately, or in a clean patila. Pick one wine jug, one spirit punch and one with no alcohol, so that everybody has something, and keep plenty of ice in the freezer.

You chose mocktails only, so the drinks with alcohol are hidden here. See the mocktail guides

Questions

What do I buy for three jugs?

Three jugs make 12 glasses. For Sangria: 3 bottles (750 ml) of red wine, 180 ml brandy, 360 ml orange juice, 3 oranges and 3 apples. For Patiala Cola Punch: 720 ml whisky, 2.4 litres of cola and 150 ml lime juice. For Nimbu Masala Vodka Punch: 540 ml vodka, 300 ml lemon juice and 1.8 litres of soda.

What can I make before the party?

Sangria needs at least 2 hours in the fridge, and Masala Sangria, White Sangria and Virgin Sangria at least 1 hour. For the rest, mix all but the ice and fizz. Soda, lemon soda, tonic, beer and sparkling wine go in only when you pour.

How do I keep guests safe at midnight?

Keep a no-alcohol jug on the table all night, and put out food and water. Most of these pour about 40 to 60 ml of spirit per glass, or a generous glass of wine. Agree on cabs or a driver who is not drinking before the first jug goes out.
