You need

  • gin
  • lime
  • soda water

How to make it

  1. Fill a tall glass with ice.
  2. Squeeze in the juice of half a lime (about 20 ml) and drop the shell in.
  3. Add 50 ml gin.
  4. Top with 120 ml soda water and stir once. No sugar: it should taste dry and sharp.
  5. Serve right away with a straw while it is fizzy, alongside salted peanuts or masala chana.
