Pour 200 ml spiced rum, 300 ml pineapple juice, 200 ml coconut water and 40 ml lime juice into a large jug.
Add 2 star anise and chill for 15 minutes.
Fill with ice and top with 200 ml ginger ale just before serving.
Park the jug beside the speakers on New Year's Eve.
