Use a dark stout beer. Chill it and the sparkling wine well.
Pour 120 ml sparkling wine into a tall glass.
Slowly pour 120 ml stout over the back of a spoon so it layers on top.
Serve right away without stirring so the layers stay separate, with salted nuts or cheese on the side.
